Passages is the leading provider of services for people with a disability or
other barriers to living, learning, playing or working in the community.

Passages was established in 1954 by a group of dedicated parents interested in providing a
school for their children who were not being educated in the public schools. At that time
the Whitley County Opportunity Center , now Passages Inc., opened it's doors to adults with
disabilities with 13 clients and three staff members. The initial program addressed training,
social and work skills; soon preschool was added along with a variety of other services.
Passages now supports over 350 people on an annual basis.

It is our mission at Passages to join with others to support people with challenges to living, learning, working and playing in the community through the use of quality practices.

Our vision at Passages is to be a premier provider of quality supports which meet or exceed participant need and enable people with challenges to discover their potential and achieve the quality of life they desire.

Our current programs reflect our mission and vision through a variety of services for individuals and families with disabilities in all areas of life.

We value the Promise, Possibilities and Partnerships that are created through our programs and services. Our dedicated staff is devoting to providing caring and thoughtful service to each person or family that utilizes Passages services
